How are Invisalign clear aligners made?
Invisalign aligners are made using a digital scan of your teeth. Once the scan is complete, a special computer program divides the desired movements into a series of steps, and each tray is made based on that step. Once each set of trays is made, they are trimmed, polished, and put in order before they are sent to our offices for us to give to you.
How do I care for my Invisalign clear aligners?
To keep your Invisalign aligners looking new, you should brush and floss your teeth after eating and rinse your trays well before you put them back in. This reduces the chance of food particles getting stuck in your trays. You should also take them out every time you eat because even though they’re strong, Invisalign trays can’t withstand your biting forces. Once a day, you should take your trays out and gently brush them with mild, non-abrasive toothpaste and a soft toothbrush.
